Four-star offensive tackle John Turntine III from North Crowley is one of the most coveted linemen in the 2026 class, and his recruitment is in full swing as he locks in his official visits. Texas is set to host him on June 20th, and the Longhorns are making him a major priority as they look to add elite talent to their offensive line.

At 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, Turntine is an exceptional athlete who brings a rare blend of size, power, and mobility to the offensive tackle position. He is currently ranked as the No. 5 player in Texas and the No. 5 offensive tackle nationally per Rivals.com, solidifying his status as one of the most dominant linemen in the country. Turntine has long arms, quickness in space, and the ability to engage and finish blocks at the second level, making him an ideal fit for both power and zone-blocking schemes. His junior season he helped lead North Crowley to a 6A-DI state title.

His explosiveness off the ball, footwork, and ability to mirror defenders make him an elite pass protector, while his physicality and strength allow him to move defenders in the run game with ease. He has continued to impress at camps and on the field, showcasing why he is one of the most sought-after linemen in the 2026 cycle.

With Texas prioritizing him heavily, the Longhorns will look to make a strong impression when he visits on June 20th. As his recruitment heats up, expect Turntine to be one of the most talked-about offensive line prospects heading into his senior season.
