Aidan Anding, a 3-star cornerback from Ruston, Louisiana, is gaining significant attention as a key target for the Texas Longhorns’ 2025 recruiting class. He has a long, lean athletic frame, Anding is technically sound and plays with excellent leverage, essential traits for a defensive back. He has a smooth backpedal and his ball hawk mentality makes him an exceptional shutdown cornerback, capable of dominating opposing receivers.

Anding’s recruitment has been on the rise this off-season, with numerous high-profile programs extending offers. As of now, he holds offers from Texas, TCU, Miami, Baylor, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Louisiana, Tulane, and Georgia Tech, showcasing the broad interest in his talents across the college football landscape.

His connection with Texas has continued to grow this off-season. Anding took an unofficial visit to Austin in April, giving him an initial taste of the program and its facilities. The upcoming official visit in June will provide him with a more in-depth experience of what the Longhorns have to offer, potentially influencing his decision-making process as he evaluates his options.

Aidan Anding’s athletic prowess extends beyond the football field. At Ruston High School, he has been a key contributor to state championship team in football and a deep playoff run in basketball, demonstrating his versatility and competitive nature. He has competed at the state level in track, highlighting his speed and agility—attributes that are crucial for a cornerback.

The Longhorns are particularly interested in securing Anding’s commitment as part of their strategy to bolster their defensive backfield for the 2025 class. His combination of size, skill, and athleticism aligns well with Texas’s defensive schemes, making him a valuable addition to their roster. The June visit will be a critical opportunity for the Texas coaching staff to solidify their relationship with Anding and showcase the benefits of joining their program.
