TCU rode the hot hand and quick legs of true freshman quarterback Max Duggan to propel the Horned Frogs over the Longhorns 37-27. Duggan threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns, and led the Horned Frogs in rushing with 83 yards and a touchdown. The win marked the fifth in six years for TCU over Texas.
Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger threw a career-high four interceptions in the loss and finished with 321 yards passing and two touchdowns. Devin Duvernay hauled in eight catches for 173 yards and a touchdown. Keaontay Ingram led the Longhorns in rushing with 74 yards on 16 carries.
The Longhorns fall to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in Big 12 play.
Texas will not play next week and will return to action on November 9th as they host the Kansas State Wildcats at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.
