Texas travels to Stillwater for its first Big 12 matchup of the season. The Longhorns enter the game 2-1 after a bye last week while Oklahoma State comes in at 2-2 overall and 0-1 in Big 12 play, losing to Baylor last week on the road.

Texas tough loss to California has a lot of people talking about the Longhorn defense, who gave up a total of 507 yards and 50 points. However, the offense seems to be getting in a groove. Shane Buechele threw for 196 yards last week while D’Onta Foreman and Chris Warren combined for 276 yards and two touchdowns a piece against the Golden Bears.

In Oklahoma State’s loss to Baylor, the Cowboys never led. Quarterback Mason Rudolph threw for 279 yards without a single touchdown pass and one interception. Justice Hill and Rennie Childs recorded the Cowboys’ three touchdowns. Hill is a freshman who is helping revive Oklahoma State’s running game. His 122-yard performance against Baylor marks the most by a Cowboys’ true freshman running back since Oklahoma State joined the Big 12. Childs is a senior who finished 2015 with a career-total of 764 yards and six touchdowns. He produced two touchdowns against the Bears last weekend.

Buechele and the Longhorns will be looking for their first road win of the 2016 season while Oklahoma State is trying not to start the season 0-2 in Big 12 play. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 24-6, but the visiting team has won seven straight games in the matchup.

Kickoff is set for 11am CST on ABC.
