The final edition of the 2016 HornSports Top 50 has been finalized and is here for you on the first day of the new year. While the top end remained very similar we did have several new additions to the list. Trophy Club Byron Nelson offensive tackle /players/profile/125-parrish-cobb/” rel=””>Parrish Cobb made the biggest jumps up the list after viewing their senior film. As we inch towards signing day the negative story is that Texas has very few commitments in the top part of the list. Texas is still in play for a few players in the top half, and could close strong to improve their standing. While Baylor and LSU are riding high in the rankings, the story of the year has to be the #HTownTakeover in Houston. Tom Herman netted 4 of the top 50 and 2 in the top 10 for 2016. If all players hold their commitment, that would be a tremendous coup for the Cougars. While we could still make a few tweaks depending on the all star game circuit, this will be our final statement on the class of 2016. On to signing day and the next update to the 2017 Top 50.
