The Texas Longhorns showed improvement on both sides of the ball in the win against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. A struggling defense stepped up the level of play, notching six sacks and limiting a prolific Oklahoma offense to less than 300 total yards.
Offensively, Texas implemented a different philosophy, intent on winning the football game with a steady rushing attack.
The end result was a 24-17 victory with head coach Charlie Strong wearing the Golden Hat and securing the biggest win in his short tenure as head coach of the Longhorns.
