Talented Columbus, TX native Keyon Hemphill-Woods announced his commitment to the Longhorns on Friday, becoming the eighth commitment in Steve Sarkisian’s 2027 recruiting class. Hemphill-Woods, a three-star, 6-3, 275 interior offensive lineman, held offers from more than two dozen programs including Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Florida, Auburn, Texas Tech and Arkansas.
He received an offer from the coaching staff during his visit last month and scheduled an official visit to the 40 Acres in June. Thankfully for the Longhorns, he didn’t need that visit to make his decision.
Hemphill-Woods joins Austin Westlake’s Jackson Cook as the only offensive line commits in a recruiting class which will certainly look to add others. A track and field athlete as well, Hemphill-Woods is ranked as the 57th best player in Texas, the 23rd best interior lineman and the 417th best player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
