One Saturday, the top-ranked Texas Longhorns will play the Oklahoma Sooners in Dallas’ Red River Rivalry. In the YouTube video above, our Devon Messinger and Dylan DeRaud name their X-factors to watch.
X-Factors:
In the Red River Rivalry, look to the quarterbacks to make all of the difference. For the Longhorns, Quinn Ewers makes his return after missing the last two games to injury. Can the Texas gunslinger shake off the rust quickly? If so, Texas will be well-positioned to cruise on Saturday. Meanwhile, for the Sooners, freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins has the perfect opportunity to become a campus hero early in his career. So far this season, quarterback has been a problem position for Oklahoma, with season-opening starter Jackson Arnold being benched against Tennessee. With an efficient performance from Hawkins, the Sooners will have a legitimate chance of toppling the Longhorns in Dallas.
