In a fitting tribute to Darell K. Royal’s passing, the Longhorns’ first play from scrimmage against Iowa State was run from the wishbone formation. The play evolved into a double pass in which quarterback David Ash ultimately hit tight end Greg Daniels for a 46 yard gain. It was yet another special moment in a grand day of celebration honoring Coach Royal’s legacy at the University of Texas. For those unable to watch the special moment, see below.
