https://www.hornsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/hstop2014.jpgWhen putting together the Horn Sports 50 for 2014, I noticed an abundance of skill players, and lack of lineman. Not to say the kids in the trenches aren’t talented, just not your usual volume of meat and potato-type interior players.
The areas with the most concentrated prospects; Dallas/ Ft. Worth and East Texas.
And when I said an abundance of skill talent, I mean an obscene amount of defensive backs, wide receivers, and linebackers.
Cornerbacks & Safeties rep the hardest with five out of the top 10, and seven out of the top 19.
Wide receivers make up almost a 1/3 of the middle rankings (20-45).
And the Linebackers. They are big, strong, fast, and productive. And highly coveted. Hoza Scott, No. 1 overall performer, is as good a looking LB seen in this state in a decade.
So with the debut of, the “Friday Night Lights” column on the site, here’s the Horn Sports 50 for 2014.
Hope you enjoy.
