The Texas Longhorns closed out the week by extending offers to two major 2026 prospects from Georgetown High School, both of whom are already committed elsewhere.
RB Jett Walker, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound powerhouse, received an offer from Texas shortly after committing to Minnesota. Walker, who had previously flipped from West Virginia, continues to trend upward as one of the top big-body backs in the state. He has an elite blend of size, speed, and downhill power, Walker has been a driving force for Georgetown’s offense.
Texas also offered 3-star OL Kaden Scherer, a Stanford commit. Scherer is highly regarded for his strong fundamentals, physicality at the point of attack, and impressive footwork. His consistency and technique make him one of the more reliable offensive line prospects in the class.
Both Georgetown standouts head into the playoffs this Friday as they prepare for a matchup against Burleson Centennial.
