Texas commit Kohen Brown is putting together one of the most impressive senior campaigns in the state. The Waxahachie standout has now posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, proving himself as one of the most dangerous playmakers in Texas high school football. This year, he’s racked up 17 receiving touchdowns while averaging an explosive 19 yards per catch. For his career, he’s closing in on 3,000 all-purpose yards.
A true two-way star, Brown matches up every week with his opponent’s top receiver and welcomes the challenge. At 6-foot, 190 pounds, he brings a college-ready frame, strong hands, crisp routes, and twitchy acceleration. His burst and extra gear allow him to create effortless separation and turn routine catches into explosive plays.
Defensively, Brown is a feisty, sticky DB, excelling in man coverage with the technique and physicality to play bump-and-run. With his hips, instincts, and competitiveness, he shuts down passing lanes and forces offenses to adjust.
Brown was key in Waxahachie’s 37-20 win over North Forney, scoring a touchdown and locking down his side of the field. Already a 4-star prospect, his dominant senior season makes a fifth star feel inevitable.
Brown and Waxahachie now turn their focus to Cypress Ranch in the Regional Semifinals this weekend and expect him to be at the center of the action once again.
