This seems strange since their own rating system had Gray the # 7 and Williams # 13. Gray also had better stats, although Williams were good. Both had 3900 yards but Gray had 70 combined td’s to 48 for Williams. Gray also averaged more than two yards per carry better than Williams.

Rivals.com Texas analyst Brian Perone saw numerous games by Williams and feel he’s the complete package. “He is an all- down back who can run and catch the ball out of the backfield.

There are questions about why Williams was selected over Gray? Maybe Rivals wanted to be different or maybe there is another reason? I think it may be as simple as biased journalism.

That Rivals.com analyst Brian Perone, who saw numerous games and felt he was the most complete running back also seems to be a Texas A&M graduate. His Likedin page says he attended TAM from 1999-2003 and is a member of AggieYell.com.

Surely an Aggie would not be biased toward a UT recruit? Surely an Aggie would not be used as the analyst to determine who wins such an award? Seems surely died and Rivals.com has some splaining to do.
