No. 2 Texas Volleyball takes on No. 4 Louisville in Top Five Matchup at Dickies Arena

No. 2 Texas Volleyball remains undefeated (4-0) early in the season but is in a Top Five contest versus No. 4 Louisville, also 4-0.  Tonight’s Fort Worth Showdown at the Net contest follows a fierce five-set battle between the Longhorns and No. 6 Stanford at Moody Center on Sunday, where Texas clawed their way to a comeback victory before a sold-out, record-breaking crowd in Austin. 

The last time Texas faced Louisville was in the 2022 National Championship in which the Longhorns swept the Cardinals.  The programs have met only five times in their history and tonight’s match will mark Louisville’s first contest versus a top ranked team this year.  However, the Cardinals were the runner-up in the 2024 NCAA Division I Final losing to Penn State, 3-1, their second run at the title in three seasons.  Watch the game on ESPN at 8PM.
