Texas sophomore two-sport athlete Jonah Williams will miss the rest of the baseball season after undergoing shoulder surgery. The procedure is expected to sideline him for the remainder of the spring, but he’s projected to be fully cleared in time for the start of the 2026 football season.
Before the injury, Williams had been extremely productive at the plate, hitting .304 through eight games this spring. That followed his fall campaign in which he appeared in eight games for the Longhorns football team.
The second-ranked Longhorns (18–1, 2–1 SEC) are off to their hottest start since 2005 and will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host Tarleton State at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
