Nathan Thornhill started on the mound for the Longhorns on Wednesday as they opened up Big XII Tournament play today in Oklahoma City. He was pinged for two runs by the fourth inning and was then replaced by Hoby Milner, then Kendall Carillo who combined gave up 4 more runs. The Longhorns scored single runs in the second, fourth, fifth and eighth innings. Texas, the favorite to win this game, will have an uphill battle if they are to make it to the Big XII Championship game.  The ‘Horns will play Baylor at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, who lost to the Oklahoma State Cowboys today by the score of 6-2. If Texas is to advance in tourney play they must move baserunners better and convert when runners are in scoring position.
