Game Day: No 5. Texas Longhorns @ No. 25 Vanderbilt Commodores

The Texas Longhorns (6-1, 2-1 SEC) will play their third consecutive game against an AP Top 25 ranked opponent when they face the Vanderbilt Commodores (5-2, 2-1 SEC) today. Following their home loss to Georgia last week, the Longhorns are seeking thier first road win as members of the Southeastern Conference.

Texas and Vanderbilt have played each other 12 times previously, with the first game taking place in 1899 and the last coming in 1928. The Commodores hold an 8-3-1 all-time series record against the Longhorns and are only one of two SEC programs to have winning records against Texas. Vanderbilt is 4-0 when playing the Longhorns in Nashville, which is where today’s game will kickoff from.

The Longhorns are keyed in on rebounding from a tough loss to the Georgia Bulldogs and extending their road win-streak to nine games.
