The Texas Longhorns are poised to have a formidable defensive front in the near future with the addition of five early enrollees who showcase diverse skills and strengths. Colin Simmons, hailing from Duncanville High School, stands out as an edge defender with a lean, stout build. His explosive first step, great bend, and speed off the edge make him a potential game-changer. Having secured two state championships and earning the title of defensive MVP twice, Simmons brings a winning mentality to the Longhorns.

Zina Umeozulu, a towering figure from Allen High School, provides another dimension off the edge defensively for the Longhorns defense. With a long, athletic frame and explosive first step, Umeozulu’s violent hands and high motor make him a relentless force on the field. His ability to attack with purpose and play through the whistle signifies a commitment to excellence.
