Who would you like to see at the very least interviewed for our Head Coaching position?

Here's mine, in order

Briles

Jimbo Fisher

Charlie Strong

David Shaw

Dantonio

DeRuyter

Malzahn

I'm leaving off NFL coaches just because I don't think they would be a realistic possibility. Wish I could be a fly on the wall for any interviews that Patterson does.

What say you hornsports peeps?

Saban

Meyer

Harbaugh

Briles

Malzahn

Fisher

Shaw

I'll take the first one that bites!

Wonder what they're going to pay the guy who finally is chosen?

Briles

Strong

Franklin

Gruden

Vangio

Shaw

gundy

these are my realistic canidates

pipedreams

saban

harbaugh

meyer

tomlin

fisher

malzahn

I would make the call to Meyer, Saban, and Harbaugh to force them to say no (which I fully expect they will). Once they have all said no I would call the following and be pleased if any of them came to UT:

Briles

Franklin

Fisher

Malzahn

Dantonio

Gundy

Next on my list and in whom I have less confidence without further research would be:

Shaw

Mora, Jr.

Swinney

Jim Harbaugh is the only NFL coach I have much interest in as he is the only one being mentioned that has college head coach experience.

Malzahn

Shaw

Fisher

Andersen

Briles

Smart

Bohl

(Les Miles) if he can be vetted, my God he would KILL IT on the LHN

NO way:

Urban - too many gangsters, and screws coeds

Franklin - Manny Diaz part 2

Swinney - hes Dan Dawkins, Morris his Peterson

Mora - who has he beaten? Oregon boat raced him

Meyer

Gundy

Briles

Malzahn

Fisher

Franklin

Freeze

These are the names I'm beginning to see as "realistic", at this point, except maybe Meyer. He probably isn't realistic either.

Not sure UT takes a current Big 12 coach, but I would be fine with Gundy or Briles. I just think Texas needs a coach sooner, rather than later.

If I were Texas AD, the 7 I would most want to interview would be: Jim Harbaugh, Art Briles, Gus Malzahn, Jimbo Fisher, David Shaw, Jim Mora, and my surprise pick Mark Richt.

The first 6 will be chosen by a number of others. Richt I have on the list because I am impressed with his character and because I think that save 3 years with crippling injuries, he would have another couple of SEC titles and perhaps a national title. And he might now be tired of the calls for his head from a segment of the Georgia fan base and be ready to go after a new opportunity.
