Besides the fact we're going to smack y'all this year...

What's going on down here guys?

I've been talking to Texas folks on twitter and they say Strong is doing right.

Strong doesn't put up with BS and sticks to what he says, which it sounds like UT needs. From an outsider, its hard to imagine Texas in this position, especially as Mack Brown as coach. Think that has a lot of people, especially on the outside shocked. Mack was built as this great man, which I'm sure he is.. but now it looks like he turned his head.

What's the truth guys...

I appreciate the kind words.

In honesty, it comes to a shock to most of us with everyone going on around the program. People here see Texas and Oklahoma as the 2 big dogs. And in fairness, the Big 12 needs Texas to be successful.

We know here how Strong coaches and what he brings to the table. Where the questions rest is with Mack Brown. He was put on this horse by most at UT, ESPN, ect... and now Strong is cleaning up the mess.

But then again, I really thought Luck would end at Texas...

Look forward to the convos all and good luck against BYU..... and trust me, I'm not trolling you guys. Just looking for the truth and not opinions from some on twitter.

You can't handle the truth Deuce.... no seriously he is building a program of integrity and putting the T back in Texas... I could guess that Mack wasn't taking care of business, but I don't care anymore. .. Charlie is fixing it...

we shall never think of you as a troll.  this is why i stated "stop searching for straws".  we are hereby used to you BRINGING IT west virginia style.  with a no holds barred attitude.  i have just arrived at the w hotel here in austin, tx. trust me, longhorn fans are everywhere.  the burnt orange vibe is incredible, just like it was upon my last week's stay.  oh, and by the way, those new white WV uniforms were off the chain smooth.  looked incredible.  hopefully, we can get up to date pretty soon.. or at least a quality tweak.   we love you deuce!

As a follow Big 12 guy now, I hope Strong fixes and and fixes it quick. Understand it will take time to get his players and change culture, but I also think we're tired of hearing about the SEC, and now the Pac 12.

Welcome WVU guy--

I once rafted the Gauley at flood stage (when they did the dam release).  It was about this time of year ~ Labor Day.

I went with a big group and we had a blast.

Very memorable trip.

You ever do that?

Deuce, loved the haymakers you guys were throwing back and forth at Bama. Good job, your team is going to make some serious noise this year.

Never been on the Gauley, but folks are starting to flock and hit the water. Good times from what I hear.

Damn proud of the team for the Bama showing. Now we roll to Towson.. and they're not Alabama. Can't have a letdown and need to come in ready. Hear we had a good week of practice. We'll see.

Best of luck to you guys against BYU.

I floated the Chattooga River in May 1978 with 25 people from Austin. The Chattooga is the state bounadary line between Georgia and South Carolina.

It's the river the movie "Deliverance" was filmed on.  Serious white water. BTW, future Texas Gov. Ann Richards was on that trip.
