WR Robbie Rhodes

What's the latest with this recruit? I heard he is interested in Texas and he has received offers from Baylor and Tech. He racked up almost 400 yards in receiving and 8 touchdowns in one game at Southwest HS in Fort Worth this year. A little on the small size which might be why?

Not sure. There are a handful of good in state receivers still out there that are uncommitted. We have Seals-Jones, Jacorey Warrick and Jake Oliver so not sure we will sign many more WR's.

Rhodes was offered by Texas last week and not really sure what his plans are. Baylor is a top player for his services but he has really been lying low. Texas has already picked up Oliver, Seals-Jones and Jacorey Warrick so they are taking only one more WR. Rashaad Samples must be falling off the map for Texas...

He went to my alma mater so I feel like the eyes of Texas are upon him. Him and Wesley have put up some sick stats at Southwest. Baylor had its glory days the last few years. Time for things to go back to the way they were in Waco....

The Texas staff was supposed to meet with him this weekend to formalize the offer. I do not believe Rhodes has even visited Austin yet.

I am still hearing he is favoring Baylor over the Horns, which are a close second. HE could be my new favorite Longhorn if he were to commit. Don't think my high school has ever produced a Longhorn football player!

The school mascot for Southwest High School is the Raider. My senior year was the last year Southwest was the Rebels. Bad things man... very bad things.....
