Desean Hales has quit the Texas football team. His statement regarding his decision to quit football referenced his desire to focus on completing his education at UT (Hales graduates this Fall). He caught 2 passes last year in 9 games played last season. Hales will reportedly stay involved with the team to help mentor some of the younger wide receivers and players.
Desean is a good kid and we wish him the best. He has a good head on his shoulders and he will be a success regardless of whether he plays football or not.
