Former USC QB & transfer candidate Max Wittek visited Texas for the second time Saturday and took in the Texas scrimmage.

With questions of David Ashs health lumming large and the huge learning curve Tyronne Swoopes is facing, it is imperative Texas acquires depth at the QB position.

Totally agree. I think he provides the only chance we have of redshirting Heard.

Would be shocked if Max went to Hawaii, Norm Chow has a 4-20 record at Hawaii. There was talk Chow would be fired after this year. If he's goes to Hawaii because of Chow, then he may only have him for one year and have a new coach for his senior year.

I agree, the only way he goes to Hawaii is if Wittek can see instant playing time. Granted, in interviews it sounds like Wittek doesn't care about competition.

I've noticed there seem to be mainly two different schools of thought about on whether he comes, or goes to another progam, but I tend toward the first. H's smart, and I'd bet every last mulit-hued U.S. greenback you have (I"m not sure enough to bet mine) that he has weighed things very carefully in the interim as he finishes at SC. The offers of the other schools are pretty much cut-and-dried, come and play considerations, but with Texas it is the reward of risking your time to run the machine at a big program. Ash can be done at any time and Tyrone is not likely to come out ahead in competition with them, according to reports I've heard from a growing number of concerned program followers. The fact he made another visit might well indicate good news for Horns' fans that believe he is a quality potential asset. Despite whatever occurs, it's a window into how precarious the program has become at the position.

Thanks for the update. I'm not sure just how good the guy is, but I'm hoping he'll be a good addition if he picks us.

Yez, lumming, az n Froot uf thu Lum. G's, sum peepul! Problum, ged uh digshunairie!
Thanks for that. I thought he was talking about one of those little rodents that like to commit mass suicide every so often.

The greedy side of me wants him here. Even if he is nothing more than a backup. He can't be worse than we have had the past few years as backup, can he? Plus it would allow for Heard to hopefully red shirt. Not to mention opens up options for Swoopes to either sit back at 3rd and/or even possibly RS if we don't need him or change position.

Amazing how our QB position has slipped due to resting all hope on one kid several years ago. (In all honesty, I thought he was the one myself.) I hope good news is lumming in the near future...

if we had let him run the spread, he would have been.

LOOMING - it's looming. Lumming is an event that lemmings do - somewhat like an aggy.

That was my other option to elucidate. I wasn't being cute, that's how I think inside my head all the time, anway, so I was helping from a natural state.

How fortunate.

To the explanation: A 'lum' used, as an intended descriptive, is often associated with a particular expert college alumnist who is entrenched on the ground-level in dedication, but has serious questions of their team's success over any given season, putting said expert into 'lum'-state, which is that of the pre-lemming mode of a 'looming' potential disaster at the targeted concern area. If it is delivered in another way, it might cause more alarm to the faithful. It's all about prefessional strategy, if I see what I mean, and we (ALL four of me) think that I do with the highest level of confidence in the statemet.

So, it's McPhaul at his finest, not a mistake at all.

Now, he doesn't need the likes of the serial-disturbinglyished, as myself, to defend his record, but I have these explantions in an internal library of the useful, called "Bill-ism's". Why , they are simply lying about, waiting to be employed, and I happened to notice whilst I was passing by on my way home to where the Twilight Zone and Outter Limits converge, and I thought it a sterling dual-opportunity to show the depth of experience at play, while at the same time bringing special clarificaton to those who now understand better.

Yes, I am ever-ready to lend my poor assistance to fellow Horn mavens and as HornSports, charging nothing for it due to the excellent example.

See, life can be just that good!

that 2010 season was an unbeleivable cluster. Re GG, i read a piece written by gil brandt who gave him big props on his pro day. good for him.

And I thought at the time it was an abberation, and unfortunately it was, but the other way...it never got better, so the earlier ones may have been running on talent...nah.

Excellent observation from the northern gateway to the Hill Country. I'm from West Texas, but these many years away and I find it's the areas around from San Angelo, southeast to Fredricksburg, Boerne and Junction that is the area I miss more than the rest. You are blessed.
