Texas batters have feasted on weak pitchers. XBH should be on tap tonight.
we must not have seen the same games. looking into the ol' crystal ball for the evening, here's the view:
if tonight goes to form, we will be three up/three down in the first three innings, break out the whuppin' stick for a single in the fourth, maybe get a leadoff double (dying at third after the sac to move them over) in the fifth, then break thru for a run in the sixth and a couple in the seventh.
we'll go into the ninth with a 1 run lead. we'll give that up on a two out walk, a passed ball and two balks, and then win in the 12th, dog piling the walk off batter, kacy clemens, after his infield single (but it looks like a line drive in the scorebook)--thus breaking the losing streak and raising everyones' hopes going into the weekend series with OU.
given the late start, i don't see this game ending until around midnite.
we'll have eight hits in 12 innings, lowering our team BA only slightly to .246 for the year, and we will leave 28 runners on base, twenty of them in scoring position.
WSU pitchers will issue 12 walks and get 12 K's (6 of them looking).
