Wichita State as a No. 1 seed?

Does Wichita State deserve a No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament?

I say without question. They beat everyone on their schedule this year. The FF last year gives them street cred as far as I'm concerned. Belmont should take a hard look at Gregg Marshall if any coaching changes are in the wind.

Why not? It's an extremely hard achievement to be undefeated in any conference. Plus they did make the final four last season. How many times do the dukes, Kansas, NCs, Kentuckys get the benefit of the doubt great seed because of program history? Power to the shockers.

The argument against.....

This isn't college football, so going undefeated isn't rewarded as a stand alone achievement. In college basketball, and specifically in the tournament, strength of schedule matters. WSU has played the 94th toughest schedule in the country. Going undefeated is an amazing accomplishment, but the Shockers' RPI is 5th...that means there are 4 teams with more impressive resumes out there.

68 teams will get a shot to win the title. Does WSU deserve to be a Top 4 seed and have that advantage, or should they play as a No. 2 and be downgraded due to the quality of competition they've played?

If an 8 loss Kansas team receives a 1 and WSU gets a 2 the whole seeding thing is a joke tilted to the blue blood teams.

There is more parity in college basketball than any other sport so, I do believe they have earned it.

Yep. And a pretty easy one to make too, imo.
