I'd love to know what every Longhorn fan's opinion on this as well. I'm trying to get a pulse of where Longhorn fans are right now with the program as we head into 2013.

Here's the original article link: Why Aren't

I think there is a big problem with the talent hauled in annually and the seemingly terrible player development. There is a huge frustration because UT has literally every tool to be successful, yet has had minimal success

For me the QB position and the run D are the reasons we lost 3 of 4 of our losing games. It's basic things... The coaching is sub par and that shouldn't be the case.

All that said I am very hopeful and confident in 2013. We fielded a ton of freshman and young players they will be better this year.

I would take a dip in talent for an increase in coaching. Alabama has a load of talent but they have a COACH. I can only say that about a handful of schools. Texas will always get the players but we need better coaching!

Fool me once and it's on me, fool me twice and OK it's still my fault, fool me three times and I have to have one of my hook em fingers removed. Just saying..

Definitely think it's time for better coaching at Texas. Actually past due.

I don't feel invested with the 2013 Longhorns.

When Mack brought Manny back, I felt like things would get bad.

I just started waiting for "the next coach". I had a strong feeling we were never going to win anything with Mack at the helm.

Wes was on the money with this team lacking a "killer instinct". They dont want to hurt anyone, at lest not as a collective group at the same time.

Honestly, don't burn me at the stake...but I never bought into any team that Mack brown led.

He's a great business man that expanded the longhorn name and really road the curtails of a Texas team that got larger than he could control. Was Texas going to blow up under any decent coach, probably.

Is it time to find a new coach? Yes! Should we remember Brown as a great? Definitely, give him a parade through Austin and resurrect a statue!

The ones he "led" have never played up to their potential. The ones led by the Young and McCoy for the most part did.

I think that is it. Mack requires the players to be the leaders. It might explain why Applewhite was more successful than Simms, and why Case is more successful than Ash.
