Who are your Breakout Players for 2012?

Spring ball is over, who are your breakout players on each side of the ball this year? Pick as many as you like

Offense - MJ McFarland,TE He will pick up more blocking techniques in fall camp and be a force down the middle this year.

Donald Hawkins & Trey Hopkins, LT & LG With Hopkins able to move to guard this year,it will help him use his quickness against bigger,slower tackles.Hawkins is an athletic,ready to play Tackle right now.

Defense - DeMarco Cobbs,LB Real shocker on this one.A healthy Cobbs is an electrifying athlete,and I cannot wait to see him come up off the edge and rack up some tfl's this year.

Great assessments. Sure hope McFarland fills the TE void since this team has not had a true tight end in quite a few years. Hawkins has done a good job in spring ball but let's hope it translates into success come September. My hope is that the breakout players on defense continue to be Carrington Byndom and Quandre Diggs. They made names for themselves last year but if these two shine again early this year then we are stacked. Let's hope David Ash is our offensive breakout player!

I sure the hell hope Cobbs is game ready come September 1. Don't forget JUCO transfer Brandon Moore who has had an excellent Spring at DT. He showed up in Austin ready to play and Diaz loves him.

This one is an obvious choice for me, its David Ash. The only thing that might get in his way this year is if Mack tries to micro-manage his quarterbacks. Give this kid the keys and lets see what he can do.
