Where Do You Align This Weekend?

A. is the correct answer. We can worry about the rest after that. If scenario A plays out, it will go down as one of the great overachieving seasons in the modern era. I am speaking in terms of how the season started and the injuries incurred along the way, and not in terms of preseason expectations. Three games into this season, most of us along with the rest of the nation were wondering where we would pick up enough wins to be bowl eligible. If we win the Big12 and go BCS bowling, I will consider that an amazing job all the way around from game three forward and I will party my arse off in celebration because that will be the best coaching job I have ever personally witnessed on these 40 acres. I'm not saying anyone deserves to stay after that or not, because that's not my decision to make, but I'm just saying it will have been a job very well done and I will be extremely proud. I don't care how down the big 12 is, I don't care about what could have been or should have been, I only care that this team, was just plain not very good to start the season and somehow found a way to nut up when it mattered most and won the damn thing. That's man stuff right there. If it doesn't happen, then I'll be...meh.
I don't see how you can reconcile that. The greatest coaching job would have never allowed Manny to come back especially when it was obvious Mack didn't trust him or he wouldn't have had GRob waiting in the wings. You can just pick and choose parts of the season. Using your logic Barnes has a great season 2 years ago because we were ranked number one midway through the season.

I'm not suggesting that the prior coaching job isn't to blame for the deep hole they were in in the first place, I am saying that given that fact, the turn around is that much more impressive. This is the same guy that dug the hole all of a sudden refusing to break and then making the hard but necessary changes required to meet the goal with very little margin for error left. That's incredible whether you can acknowledge it or not. In no way is that the same thing as peaking mid season.

No it won't. Not even close.

B. I hope Baylor runs up and down the field but can't score because of turnovers and plays their worst game of the season and with our poor play calling and MB coaching blunders, we win by a field goal on the last play of the game and everyone realizes Mack has to go. I can't ever root for ou and Okie lite has the best team in the B12 and deserves to represent the B12 in the BCS

Yes, upon reflection, there was a little hyperbole on my part related to that particular comment. I got a little excited, what can I say? Either way, like I said, I will see it as a very remarkable job all things considered.

A - definitely want us to win
SKJ - You win the "furthest away poster" my friend. Take good care of yourself! #HOOKEM
