Where Do You Align This Weekend?

This weekend is about more than a Football game. It's about the future. More specifically, it's about the future of the University of Texas Football Program. If the Longhorns come out of Waco with a win and the Sooners do the same in Stillwater, Texas will be the BIG XII Champion. Now this is something most us would typically dream of right? Especially after such a brutal start to this season. But with Championships, come consequences. If Texas wins the BIG XII Championship and ends up in the Fiesta Bowl, Mack will likely keep his job. If Texas wins the BIG XII Championship and the Fiesta Bowl, I'd bet Mack WILL keep his job. So that leads me to the question that has to be running through the mind of every poster on Horn Sports. Where do you align this weekend? I'll give you multiple choices here, give us your choice and why you chose it.

A.) Texas beats Baylor - Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State

B.) Texas beats Baylor - Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma

C.) Baylor beats Texas - Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State

D.) Baylor beats Texas - Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma

My choice is: ( B) Texas gets their win, capping off a tumultuous season and giving the Bears fans a horrible last memory in Floyd Casey. But at the same time, Oklahoma State beats our rival and knocks us out of the running for a B12 Championship. I could never root against the Longhorns so I'm pulling for the win. But I can sacrifice the B12 Championship if it means Mack will announce his retirement and Texas will bring in the coach of the future. This also lines us up for a Cotton Bowl berth where we could play LSU.

My choice is A. I think the decision on Mack has been made. His replacement may still be unknown, but I am going off of what I am reading here. Mack will not be next year. So let's go out a winner.

A, of course. No brainer except for needing a shower after rooting for zero-U.

A...I have a couple of good friends who unfortunately had to graduate from OU. I don't root for the Sooners, but these two were decent enough to congratulate us on our October win. And I think the coaching situation will work itself out - I want our guys to get a Big12.

A.

Our players, especially the seniors, deserve a championship.

Besides, WE'RE TEXAS by God!!!!!

The weather could derail the favorites.

Stillwater weather is high of 28 and low of 18, but dry.

Waco weather is high of 33 and low of 28 with Wintry conditions of snow, sleet & rain.

I will root for UT to win and things to work out with UT wins the big 12. I believe Mack is gone either way and that decision has already been made. Some are very definitive about it...as in 100% done, but I believe the parties involved know the outcome either way. I think Mack steps down after Baylor...prob at the Banquet

but if asked to predict I think Baylor whips Texas by a few TD's and OSU beats OU

Same as every week. I root for Texas to win and BlowU to lose.

This is not a championship team. We are not going to back into it.

D.) Baylor beats Texas - Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma

unless Mack announces between now and Saturday.

I want to leave nothing to chance that Mack will ever coach again on the 40.

A - Mack Brown retires on top of the Big 12 :)
I THINK YOU HIT THE JACK POT AND RETIREMENT BY MACK ON December 8, 2013 AND HE WILL COACH THE BOWL GAME:)

We don't need a faux aggie championship. The team that represents the 12 in the BCS is the champion and I don't care what the big12 offices say or do so schools can pad their stats.

A. is the correct answer. We can worry about the rest after that. If scenario A plays out, it will go down as one of the great overachieving seasons in the modern era. I am speaking in terms of how the season started and the injuries incurred along the way, and not in terms of preseason expectations. Three games into this season, most of us along with the rest of the nation were wondering where we would pick up enough wins to be bowl eligible. If we win the Big12 and go BCS bowling, I will consider that an amazing job all the way around from game three forward and I will party my arse off in celebration because that will be the best coaching job I have ever personally witnessed on these 40 acres. I'm not saying anyone deserves to stay after that or not, because that's not my decision to make, but I'm just saying it will have been a job very well done and I will be extremely proud. I don't care how down the big 12 is, I don't care about what could have been or should have been, I only care that this team, was just plain not very good to start the season and somehow found a way to nut up when it mattered most and won the damn thing. That's man stuff right there.

If it doesn't happen, then I'll be...meh.

Nothing faux about it. We beat Baylor and finish 8-1 and OSU loses to blowU too finish 7-2, we win the conference outright.
