While we all wanted Mack gone, you force him out with all the drama for Charlie Strong?

Absolutely! Regardless of what tier of coach you felt Strong was, he's an upgrade to Mack.

I believe your right! Mack has let the game pass him up. It appears Strong has the "A" game. We just need to give him time!!!

Mack was "forced out" only because he chose to go back on his word, he made the situation worse than it should have been.

Mack wasn't forced out, he didn't meet agreed upon requirements to keep his job, was 30-21 last 4 years and hasn't recruited or developed a great QB since Colt(Ash could still turn out great) and probably cost us this season with keeping Diaz

What exactly aren't you comprehending?

Yes, Mack needed to be forced out, even if our plan was Strong.

Strong is younger, more x's and o's type coach, actually WANTS to go out an recruit the best possible players, and is determined to fight for UT to get this program back.

Mack was determined to fight for his $5 million per year, his power, and Sally. You're telling me you wanted more 7-5 seasons with Mack?

Because he thought it was Saban. Would it have been as public if he knew it was Strong?

I agree and don't know if he would have fought it so much but from what I've heard Mack STILL feels like he's the right guy to "fix" the problem. I don't think it had as much to do with Saban as just Mack not wanting to let go of the lifestyle he's had in Austin.

You know that how? Because of "drama" created by a bunch of people who spend more time reading BBS than anything else? Did Mack tell you this or are you coming to this conclusion via speculation of what others have written? I think Mack went back on his word because he decided he wasn't ready to leave yet.

For all we know, the behind the scenes goings-on could have been very calm and not dramatic at all. We are on Hornsports because of the information that is being delivered. Others are on pay sites for the same thing. But HS is free and then people blame the messenger(s) when things don't go down as they had hoped.

Yeah that's not right. Mack went back on his word once he realized he didn't have control over who the next coach would be.
