Sorry . .. . .

I was born in Austin in 1939. We lived a block west of Exposition Blvd on Cherry Lane. At the west edge of town. When I was about 6, we moved over to Claire Ave between 24th and 29th up on the cliff overlooking Lamar Blvd, which was a two lane street at the time, but was widened in 1949. All the boys in the neighborhood had a great times in the stretch of woods along Shoal Creek, which ran beside Lamar. Our bb guns got a big workout daily.

I attended Wooldridge Elementary School on 24th Street grades 1-6, then we moved to Lubbock in 1951 and I went through Jr. Hi and high school there. Then back to UT in 1957, graduating from law school in January, 1964.

I have lived in Austin on two different occasions. Once on Riverside(before marriage) the on Runberg(after marriage)

Let me see if I can help with a translation ....

Lol... why didn't you say that in the first place...

Grew up in Vernon...

Grew up on Northwood Rd. - NW Austin, went to Brykerwoods elementary, Went to University Jr. High, went to O'Henry Jr. High, went to Austin High School, went to the University of Texas, went to UT Medical school in Galveston, went to Baylor hospital in Ft. Worth, went to St. Lukes in Houston, went to Herman Memorial in Houston - end of schooling with the exception of a couple of short term research grants and non-ending medical seminars.

Entered the real world as a terrified entrepreneur.

While I didn't grow up in Austin, I have very found memories and it is the place I still call home. I moved from Longview after junior high and lived south of Austin in Manchaca where I attended Crockett high school. I was introduced to the Austin music scene early on and frequented the Armadillo World Headquarters and the Split Rail with my buddies on Friday and Saturday nights. Shortly after graduation, I moved off of William Cannon for a couple of years and then lived off of 360 in NW Austin while attending The University of Texas. Upon graduation, I moved out to Cedar Park for a couple of years and then made my way to Pflugerville where I lived off of Wells Branch Pkwy. I eventually attended grad school at UT and after graduating I relocated to Atlanta.
