My daughter as many know sustained an extremely bad concussion in April, and the recovery process was a tough road, but she made it. This Thanksgiving, Im thankful she's healthy and happy again.

How about you folks?

Being someone who has had a serious concussion and brain injury from a car wreck I know how difficult it can be to recover from. It took me nearly 6 months just to get over the headaches and nausea and that included 3 separate hospital stays. And that doesn't include the memory problems that still persist to this day. I hope your daughter has a better time with it than I do.

As for me I'm happy to have a good job and happy family. My daughter is healthy and fixing to turn three and has never had any major problems. Wife is happy enough with me to want to have another baby. Life is good, outside of being in Louisiana, but at least it's close to Texas.

Back to full throttle now, and thank you Geoff.

The continued good health of my family and friends.

Concussions suck by the way...I have about 5 weeks of my memory missing. Happy for you and your daughter.

No. 1 I'm thankful for my salvation. I'm going to heaven when I leave this world!

No. 2 I'm thankful for my wonderful wife of 32 years.

Thankful for my wonderful wife and kids. 47 years old and my wife(much younger than I) just gave me my first child. A son. He is now 8 1/2 months old and strong as an ox. Good looking boy who goes to sleep to The Eyes of Texas every night. I have two more awesome sons by marriage. Not a day goes by that I don't look to the sky and give thanks for them all.

Hook 'Em!

... a big shout out to johnnie's daughter... may god continue to bless...

i would like to say thank you to the many men and women of the "us armed forces" for which through my company (fluor daniel government projects) i am duly and gratefully employed throughout the theater of afghanistan. for those who are accustomed as per this ritual... thanksgiving day for the armed forces abroad, is always a very significant experience / event. trust me upon this, for i was simply shocked back in 2005 upon my arrival to afghanistan, to see just how big an event this is for those that serve to ensure our freedom. may you have a wonderful and blessed day... and may your dreams come true...

i also would like to thank the many (afghan citizens HCN'S host country nationals) for whom i have come to love and trust. thank you for teaching me so much about afghanistan (culture, traditions, language etc). i also thank you as per your curiosity regarding EVERYTHING AMERICAN... and for the opportunity to allow me to teach you as well...

...this is what i am thankful for this coming thanksgiving holiday.... hook'em!

Great attitude, and don't take it for granted, because it can be gone in the blink of an eye.

Thankful for God Almighty, without him I would be nothing.
