Visiting Austin at the end of the month

I'm 18 from North Dakota going to Austin in late June with my dad 40 what are some places you recemond we go to . Extremely appriciate the ideas thx and HOOK EM

Zilker Park, Hut's for burgers, Milto's for pizza, IMAX at Texas State History Museum, SOCO, Franklin's BBQ, 6th Street, Capitol building and grounds, walk around the UT campus, The Drag and the  hike and bike trails around Lady Bird Lake.

If you're from ND and y'all are coming at the end of June, go anywhere you like that has air conditioning! 

Duke's list is really good for the all-around Austin experience. Are you coming for orientation? If so, there are some campus haunts you'll want to familiarize yourself with. If not, let us know what part of town you'll be in.

If you like to eat, you could literally plan your entire trip around visits to restaurants.  There is so much good food in Austin.

My dad is coming from arkansas so I'm used to some heat but it'll probably surprise me right away haha I'm forsure gonna try and tour DKR

 the last thing you want to familiarize your dad with is the campus haunts.  show him the library, main building, police department, university methodist church (or the denomination of your choice), LBJ Library, Bullock Museum.  

avoid 6th street, hippie hollow, bone daddy's, barton springs,  etc. at all costs.

welcome to town, mitch.  better bring an extra warm sweater.

Check out the Harry Ransom Center and the LBJ Library on campus for sure if you've never been.
