Vance Bedford among names mentioned for CSU HC position

CSU you cant have him.  We have only enjoyed him being home for one year.

Bedford has burnt orange running through his veins.  And UT can match any salary he is offered.

He has a nice home in Austin, Texas and is employed by the school of his coaching dreams.

He ain't leaving.

As much as I want your statement to be true, unfortunately he's still interviewing there.  There's still at least a minute chance he could leave to run his own gig.  :o

Any assistant coach worth his salt wants to be a head coach. If Vance wants the job, I hope he gets the chance. That is one of the better schools for an aspiring big time head coach. I wish him luck.

That said, his energy and coaching will be very hard to replace.

Good for Mike Bobo.

IMO, Houston would've been a better fit for Bedford because he's from Beaumont and knows the Golden Triangle well. I'm glad he's not going anywhere soon!

Hey I don't blame Bedford for interviewing. You have to get your name out there if you want to be a head coach. Mountain West is a good place to coach.

I'm guessing if Colorado State had offered the job to Bedford, he would have turned them down. Scott Frost by turning CS down will make himself a more attractive candidate for future jobs, that and the Ducks continuing to play well on offense.

With the players that Charlie Strong is bringing in Vance will have the same type of talent that Coach Strong had at Florida. When we start playing for National Championships as Cecil Cherry has said that will lead to more interviews in the future.
