I talked to Tyler tonight and he is receiving a lot of interest from UT lately. He doesn't hold an offer yet but the coaching staff continues to keep in contact with him. As mentioned before Coach Wickline was talking to Moore while he was at Oklahoma State and then the communication carried over when Wickline came to Texas.
Tyler attended the Spring Game last month and mentioned that he had an incredible time on the 40 Acres. The communication doesn't stop at Wickline...... Tyler has talked with Coach Vaughn and also (of note) Coach Tommie Robinson, who is the running backs coach at UT. Why is this important? Tyler's close friend and North Shore RB Tristian Houston is Texas commit. Tyler blocks for Houston on the North Shore line.
There is interest in the possibility of the North Shore "duo" playing together. Still some work to be done but Tyler told me that the staff said they have a "spot" for him, but some things just need to happen first.
Other schools showing interest in Tyler are Texas Tech, OU, Colorado, Nebraska and North Texas (received an offer from them last week). LSU came to see him today at NS High School.
I asked him which camps he would be attending this summer and he said "definitely the UT camp." Other camps that are strong possibilities of Moore to attend this summer include LSU, Oregon and Nebraska.
This summer will be busy for Tyler as he will be pushing 3 workouts per day and he will be going to summer school so that he can graduate early.
Moore will be an early enrollee wherever he plays college football.
When I asked him where he wanted to play college football if he had a choice, he said "I'm really liking that Red River Rivalry game."
Moore is 6-5, 330lbs.
