Really? You do understand that these situations are always fluid right? He isn't trying to give himself an out. He is reporting that we have a stubborn ass coach who is refusing to walk away that could end up in the end costing Texas a chance at landing Nick Saban. Nothing more, nothing less. based on? JS reported just about 30 mins ago the Powers/Saban meeting went great and Steve Patterson has been given the green light to hire Saban

of course Mack wants more money and wants to make this hard. I suspect the powers at be will take care if it one way or the other.

These people are not going to let Mack kill Saban if that deal is really about to go down. Mack just wants a bigger buyout it seems and now he cant drag this out as MP mentioned with his stepping down already national across the country news

I've just recently found this forum so I've only got a few days of experience, but I certainly appreciate you sharing all your news as it becomes available. I would bet a majority of people feel the same and understand situations like these are always changing until resolution. Keep up the great work - you certainly won't ever hear me saying you're "looking for an out"!

I always appreciate any insider information and take it with a grain of salt. Human behavior is not physics where given certain variables we can predict an outcome with certainty. There is always uncertainty in human relations. That said people need to take a deep breath and relax. If Saban does not come it is not the end times. We need Mack gone and that appears to be an extremely high probability. For that alone I am thrilled. I am confidant we will get a real football coach, not politician, soon, if Saban great. If not there are other promising candidates.
