Unbelievable...

I'll do a step more and do the unspeakable and donate to OUc Baylor, TTech, and TCU.

I'm jk, but that would piss them off!

Why are you on a message board? You don't believe anyone.. It's so weird
So because I don't believe a word the insiders say I shouldn't be on a message board? That's a really odd opinion.

Him and Orangeman01 seem to only be here to talk about how no one knows anything. Strange for a discussion board

For far too long, the program has desperately needed new life breathed into it. Poorly prepared, uninspired and poorly coached are words too often attached to Mack Brown coached teams. I had hoped that Saban's arrival on campus would be a turning point.

I think of Darrell Royal's example. Three national championships, never had a losing season, was innovative in his offensive strategies, won the conference championship more often than not, navigated the cultural changes through the 60s, dealt with integration in the locker room, and when he realized the game had changed and that he couldn't win unless he was willing to sacrifice his integrity, at age 52 he walked away from the game and never coached again.

And then I think of Mack. Unlimited resources, the worst loss against Oklahoma in the program's history followed just a few years later by one even more horrific. A program that is universally regarded as soft. The only coach in the history of the program to lose 4 games in 4 consecutive seasons. For the Okie Lite game, the top recruit in the nation (Leonard Fournette) was on campus for his official visit and reportedly fell asleep during the game because he was so bored.

And then there was all that happened yesterday. Petulant, self centered and unwilling to accept accountability for bringing the program into its current state of decline, Mack insists he alone will decide what is best for the program. The man who has failed at his primary job, coaching the team, believes he will be the one to make the decisions concerning the future of the program.

Failure has its costs, except in the world of Mack Brown. No personal accountability. No willingness to take ownership of his failure. No plan whatsoever to re-engage the fanbase. While Nick Saban is making it known he won't push Mack out the door to take over the program, Mack is telling anyone who will listen what a sonofabitch Nick is and how he isn't fit to be the coach at Texas. THAT is Mack's level of integrity. I would love to be there next time Nick and Mack meet.

Mack Brown is a cancer on the program. Cancers do not heal themselves. Cancers continue to destroy until either they are removed, or the host ceases to breathe life. The cancer is being allowed to continue drive the football program into mediocrity. Nothing about this program is going to get better any time soon. And its going to be that way because Mack Brown, given unlimited resources, with no real obstacles except those he has created for himself, with two conference championships in 16 years, with all the losses, all the apathy he has created, with all the failures to develop potential, wants to say he was a greater coach than Darrell Royal.

Darrell Royal was leader and a legend. Mack, you are a cancer. /end of rant

Didn't you mean to say we are the only ones who have common sense?

So where do you get your UT news? Wait for espn to report or the statesman? Just saying it's strange to spend time on discussion boards if no one can possibly know anything

My donation will end until Mack goes away.
Thanks for the update Shaun. Time to pound more alcohol. I've been taking sh*t all day from the LSU guys I work with.
Why would lsu guys be talking smack? they lost Saban to the NFL and now he beats their ass every year at Bama.

I am beyond pissed at the egomaniac mack brown. I have been sick to my stomach all day, dont know what is worse that sinking feeling in my gut or my wife laughing her ass off at me for caring so much about what is happening.

Oh well at least we can get rid of the "Were Texas: slogan BS because from yesterday forward......" WERE CLOWN SHOW: , headed up by mack, the ass clown himself.

I told you any and all details I hear will be reported to y'all as fans... You make a decision. Also if some of this has been said already sorry, haven't had time to look at all the post.
I was told Saban basically told Sexton he wanted Texas. Get the deal done.

Mack and Powers basically tricked everyone with any influence. That's the BMD fault for buying into Powers.

On orangebloods Bellmont Yraitor posted, a good update. I will tell you this his BMD that stood up and walked out. Is a guy I'm very close to and is NOT happy at all. He emailed me today just about 20 mins ago. He told me to tell you guys personally to email and complain about what's happening. I told him I told y'all last night he wasn't happy and had a few people say well they won't stop donating. My buddy told me "shaun I will never donate one cent ever again to this program period. Let them know I am Texas Football fan first and foremost, I feel their anger and disappointed. I can't believe we let that two faced POS ruin Nick Saban."

Also to let y'all know why I felt so confident in NS coming here.

My buddy had lunch this past week in Houston with Nick, Jimmy, and 2 other money guys. Nick told them he was in. But we had to get Mack out clean by Sunday. We said no problem. Well thanks Bill Powers for FING this up and thanks Mack for being you. Funny when Mack's saying is "it's about the kids" no it's not Mack. Our recruiting will suffer.

Our tradition and history will suffer. thanks.

Btw now look for Tony Brown to commit to Alabama. Nick at this meeting last week, said Brown told him he would commit to Nick whether at Texas or Bama. What could have been.

I'm sorry for y'all's anger! I'm right there with you. I'm still at a lost of words. I'm trying to get my guy to get an account on here and post. He said he might
You guys are getting to be as bad as OB.

Post of the day Randolph.

Tell your BMD I still call BS on him and other BMDs stopping their donations. They'll be right back in those suites next year writing those big checks to the Foundation.

Thanks. I am so frustrated with what is going on. And that idiot on Orangebloods, Texas Victory, damn, is either the most simple idiot or a troll. For anyone to enjoy this is beyond me.

Randolph Duke - well said. Much more balanced than I'm feeling at the moment.
I got most of my rant out last night. A bit this morning over on the shag (the morons from texags rush to start a thread every time i post something over there, so I gave them a small piece of my rant just for the heck of it). Any comparison between Mack and DKR is absurd. If Mack had done the right thing and stepped aside, he would have made millions in his life after coaching. Mack Brown's Texas Steakhouse could be a must-visit place in the city, he could help build LHN, work with ESPN, all kinds of things. He screwed himself out of all that last night and screwed us in the process. Lose-lose, and for no reason whatsoever. Its all gone, because his ego can't deal with the fact the game has passed him by and Bill Powers won't do him the huge personal favor of telling him its time to go. Instead, he continues to hang on at a horrendous personal cost and an even greater cost to the program. Its sad in so many ways.

For some levity, I will post a story i have heard Joe Jamail tell a number of times (in varying levels of detail). The case at issue was Pennzoil/Texaco:

Joe Jamail settled into his chair at home to map out his closing argument for the next morning. The case was a highly complicated business dispute between two of the largest corporations in the world—a multibillion-dollar merger gone awry. Just as Jamail picked up his pen, he heard a car horn blowing outside.

Jamail’s buddies—singer Willie Nelson and former University of Texas football coach Darrell Royal—were in a white limo, begging him to go out for a drink or two.

“I tried telling them that this was the biggest damn case of my life—hell, of anybody’s life—and that I needed to prepare,” says Jamail. “But they weren’t having any part of it. They kept me up all f##king night drinking. I could barely see straight the next morning.”

Joe Jamail was that close to DKR. I understand that he is close to the program and close to Mack. Maybe Joe is the one who needs to look at things objectively and tell Mack its time for him to walk away. Its the only way he will ever have a chance of having a legacy at Texas (if it is even still possible). Someone needs to do Mack the personal favor of helping him let go and move on. I just shudder when I think what will happen if no one does.
