OH MY GOD! Did you all witness the sheer power of this player? Gents, is it just my imagination, or did the offense seem to somehow come to life while Tyronne was at the helm? For the few fans that remained at this time... it seemed that they did not want the game to end while he was still playing.... the fans started cheering like crazy in the area that I was sitting....

I simply could not take my eyes off of this player.... gents, this guy is going to be something special. Please allow for us to forget the negatives. Let us be patient from here on. What I witnessed today at the very end of today's game felt like "sunshine on a cold thanksgiving day".... just warmed my heart.

...hopefully, I watching the very same game that you were watching. I completely agree with your statement... Tyrone, should have played the entire quarter.

However, I really enjoyed the very limited "reps" that he was allowed to deliver.

I get what OP is saying and I agree. Considering the circumstance, the fans yelled "Swooooooopes" everytime he had positive running yards. For all the people bitching about the atmosphere, TS brings a breath of fresh air and we witnessed that on Saturday. He is a true frosh but he moved the ball, regardless what string defense he was going against. He brings a different aspect, his legs. He needs to have a package for change of pace, period.

Edit: Let's face it, unless we bring in a juco, he will be our most experienced QB next year. I have a feeling Ash's career is over.

Have to admit I left early (had another deal that evening, but felt guilty anyway). Was able to see Swoopes' minutes on TV and just thought how sad it was to burn the shirt for, what...10 minutes of time? That said, he has a lot of work to get done. And one less year to make it happen.

I didn't get to see Swoopes play yesterday but based on what I saw in his earlier playing time this year, we are screwed at the QB spot next year, especially if Ash can't come back, and even then we'll be in pretty bad shape. I like Ash and he seems like a great kid and full of heart, but I've never been on the Ash bandwagon. I watched his BELTON team play the Lobos in the playoffs his senior year in person and I left the game thinking there was no way in hell he'd ever see the field at Texas and was wondering why we'd offer such a mediocre QB.

Mack naming Case the backup after CM's fun trip this summer another dumb thing he has done. If i were Brewer i would have left also. Even if you are going to play Case more than Brewer, at least name Brewer the backup bc you know Case isnt going anywhere.

Physically the kid has all the tools, but remember he played in 2A and could not even make all district QB. Expectations should be reigned in.

the kid is a huge project..why we even looked at burning his shirt since sprint really blows my mind out of the water....I had one guy during the summer tell me, that case mccoy had a better passing game his freshman year than swoopes...that told me all i needed to know about how much we need to help this kid in the passing game...

I got in to it with a guy from BON about that awhile back. Not being here working with the guys matters.
