Twitter war between Clay Travis and IT going on

Here is the conversation:

Originally posted by Ketchum:

Nahlin is a nice enough guy... I think. He used to email me about getting a job on OB, but he doesn't seem to be too much of a fan these days. He's just young and full of spirit.

ANOTHER POSTER:

If you're going to go below the belt to prop yourself up like that, you should tell the board how many times you've failed to hire Jesus Shuttlesworth.

KETCH:

That conversation has never been had. I've never talked with XXXX (My edit: I don't want to say his name) about anything like that.

I did reach out to Scipio though.

ANOTHER POSTER:

Why did you just refer to one of them by their alias name, but not the other? Again, that seems like low-blow stuff.

KETCH:

Paul W.

I wasn't trying to be low-blow. XXXXX posted under his own name on the Outside the Coverage story. First reply. Personally, I thin it's time for XXX to post as XXXX.

JS's name has been out there before but it just shows you how low class ketch is being. He also mentioned he said it as it's time for him to use his name. Who is ketch to decide that for someone else? He's just pissed it regularly has better info and has for years even back to recruitocosm

Some of his avid supporters are calling him out for it, but he still doesn't see that he did anything wrong.

Dizz,

I was going back and forth with him on that in a thread. He doesn't see anything wrong with it. I utterly disagree. You're right, it's not up to him to decide that. I can't believe he did that. It's pretty low.

I don't want to argue with him about it b/c like I said, he was good to me after somewhat of a falling out, but that's nuts.

There is no "if true." I posted the conversation on the previous page and Dizz read the same. If you are a member, I will send you the link. It's under the "Ketch on Twitter" thread.

I agree, it was wrong, and there are a lot of us (myself included) that didn't know who JS was.

Mississippi?
Randolph...all of them live in Texas..Im almost certain their servers would be in Texas. Explain this one to me?
Not sure why that is. I will ask around and if I get the chance ask Clendon. Will let you know when I find out.

In his defense, no last name, but told everyone about his being the first comment on an article so it took 20 seconds to figure it out.

JS deleted the comment under article. It said he liked the story and well check out the site. Ketch is justifying this by saying that he used his name, but nowhere did he mention his name as JS.

Information from paid sites get posted on other pay sites quite often. Posting premium content from a pay site word for word on a free publication with a national following is just wrong. I can see where IT would be extremely upset right now.

I didn't know who he was and by the time I read the thread JS had taken his comment down.

And even if I had read the comment, considering what it supposedly said, there's no way that I could have figured it out to start with.

Ketch had no right to blast his info out there. There are posters who know who I am and know my name and I definitely have no problems with people calling me by that on this site or any others, but not everyone is ok with that, particularly if they are putting some of the things out there that JS is. There is more than likely a reason why he's had a pseudonym and who's right is it for ANYONE to out that? Just because you think people know who he is doesn't mean everyone does. JS doesn't email everyone who follows UT athletics like he might Ketch and others.

Why would ketch get mad and get into the convo? Think about it
Orangebloods the leading source all things Texas... Has been way behind the Saban stuff, behind IT and Hornsports. They want to break the Saban news, I'm telling you that's why he is being coy about Saban. I almost guarantee he's been promised the news, as long as he stayed neutral or even downplaying it.
That's a bit of a reach. He's given IT HUGE props and consistently says they were and are the leaders in reporting Saban rumors.

He's also said if Saban to Texas happens, he'll take JS out for a night on the town at Ketch's expense.

You could have easily figured it out. He gave first name, then said his post was the first in comments section of article and, lo and behold, the first comment was made by the name ketch mentioned.

Agree with the rest of your post.

I'd be on fire too if I were IT. Sure they'll probably get a lot of subs and looks at their site from his link, but I think it's a major no-no to take information from a chat transcript and run with it as news. That's what he's trying to do. And I think he's wrong.
Not sure if this has been addressed or not. I was in the chat last night before I got kicked out by the crappy flashchat software, but...this was DIRECTLY pulled from the chat itself, not the transcript, which one of our members (TXPride) masterfully synthesizes into a readable subject-based format.

ugh, after reading some stuff thru google, I think I will stay out of it. It is all one big cat fight with a bunch of different sites and I'm not sure Ketch is to blame any more than anyone else. I don't know. I just know some of the stuff I've scanned over tonight (not related to orangebloods at all) is a sad day for journalistic integrity.

These sites stab each other any chance they get.

That shaggy thread linked on OB is rather sad, actually.

And the posters on the aggie site, SMH.

I'm going to give my take on it and it will be somewhat harsh. I hope the mods understand a word I use is, IMO, the best description of the Ketch individual I could come up with and I hope they give me a little slack for using it.

I just posted this on the IT board and I am so upset about that dude that I want to post it here.

It appears that this Ketch dude outed Jesus Shuttlesworth's real name - claiming it needed to be done and he sees nothing wrong with it. Evidently the dude has been posting on his own site, with many different names, to manipulate the posters and to stir interest.

This is my post, verbatim:

If I discovered that a mod was posting under different names on this site, for manipulation purposes, I would discontinue my subscription.

If this dude was doing that on OB, why does he have anyone left over there?

One of the reasons for anonymity is knowing this is a dangerous and mean world. There are lunatics out there that may dislike one of your posts, know who you are, look you up and kill you and your loved ones.

The fact that he was so cavalier about his reason for exposing JS, proves he is a nasty and vindictive little bitch.

What is to prevent him from revealing one of his subscribers as well? I see now he has no compunctions about outing someone, if he is in his bitch mode.

If I was on OB and discovered he did that, I would sue him into the dirt.
