Transfers

I think some guys may return to a more "natural" position instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole
When you say that, I immediately think M. Thompson. That dude was nice playing offense!

He's too athletic to not be on offense

I have a friend who is close to the Jesuit community, and he says the word he got was Oliver is leaning toward transferring.

If current or incoming players decide to transfer/change their commitment because Nick Saban is the head coach, then it is probably a good thing for both sides.

Id hope not, but he is another one who got his shirt burned for not much reason. Dont know how much he actually played this season.

I have to admit my detailed knowledge of the roster is really poor going into next year.....but looking at the list above.....dang we gave a lot of talent on this team coming back.

That's why I think we can compete immediately. This year will be the worst, as it stands today, recruiting class we've had in over a decade.

Maybe I'm out of touch with kids today, but if I were a player on a team the just hired the best coach in the business I would bust my ass for the guy and try to do what he told me. It wouldn't take much for me to buy into his system. His system is proven time and time again. With that said I understand there are probably players on the roster that have no business being there in the first place.

You are a rational person who looks at the big picture. Many have been spoiled and are eaten up with a sense of entitlement. Personal responsibility and accountability are hard to swallow when you've been told its everyone elses fault for months or years.

Yep, including by some on your own team. It will definitely be a culture shock once a new coach is hired (CNS or not). The change you need the most is usually the one you don't want to put the effort into.

Obviously we're over 85 and expected to take 4-6 more commits. Thoughts?
Okay that's gonna cost you at least 3 refinances for not at least giving me credit for typing that all out. Took forever! Glad to get discussion going here on the topic though.

If/when Saban is here, does he use Swoopes? I can't think of when Saban had a QB like him. He seems to always have the McCarron-type, traditional drop-back style QB's.
