HS Family,

In light of all the things going down with Mack and Saban, do you think we have a high transfer rate come spring? I would think they would respect Saban's ability to win and look forward to a fresh opportunity to get some PT, but I know some will probably move on to other pastures.

Obviously we're over 85 and expected to take 4-6 more commits. Thoughts?

Credit to UTPhil2006 for the roster!

Personally i feel we will and thats a good thing. Some of our guys are not ready to play for a coach like Saban. He is demanding. There will be no entitlement.

I'm sure they'll be turnover as there always is...some may be encouraged to leave so new staff can bring in their own recruits?

Who knows yet...wouldn't think you'd see it until after spring.

Way to early to speculate on that at this point. Also out of respect for the student athlete it's not fair to post that kind of information unless we can 100% confirm it.

And we need this in the worst way. It's time to get rid of those self entitled guys who don't want to work hard.

I can respect that guys. No problem. I'm not looking for names, just wondering if you think there will be more transfers than expected.

Actually, I think Saban will do his best to run some players off. Some of the "transfers" might not be voluntary.

I think there will be a different level of accountability and a higher expectation with a new regime, especially the one that has been speculated as coming in. With that I think there will be a natural attrition of players who either know they don't fit or will be given the indication of as much. I won't speculate on particulars but looking at the overall roster is an interesting discussion point, especially if the new coach draws some new guys with him. If at the right position they could make an immediate impact and could also contribute to the attrition rate.

Excellent take. I'm also curious to see who will make an impact that hasn't done so in the past. Maybe we have some hidden gems on that roster that just needed a little bit of a different kind of guidance. Exciting times are ahead.

I think some guys may return to a more "natural" position instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole
