One of the top outfielders in the class of 2016-2017 pulled the trigger earlier today. Tristen Lutz a corner outfielder from Arlington Martin High School committed to Tommy Nicholson while on his unofficial visit today.
Lutz is entering his Junior year at Martin where he has been a starter since his Freshman year. Arlington Martin is known for producing great baseball talent and Lutz fits the bill. He is a 6-3 207lb player that swings it from the right hand side. Lutz is rated as the 175th best prospect in the class of '16-'17.
His commitment has been in the works for awhile as Nicholson has been scouting him since his Freshman year.
Needless to say, Lutz is very excited and is looking forward to guiding Martin Baseball back to Round Rock next year where Martin lost to Cypress Ranch in the 6A State Title game last June.
