This sums up Kansas football

Wow.  If you thought Texas baseball had bad luck, I think this trumps it.

Strange how they are always lousy in football...but always great in basketball.

I guess not "always" in football...Mangino had a BCS team several seasons back.

I remember in 1975 a Nolan Cromwell QB'd Kansas team upset a salty OU team.

And didn't Gale Sayers, the "Kansas Comet", play there in the '60s?

Just trying to be positive on an otherwise downer of a sports day (baseball vs. TCU).

you mentioned 3 highlights in 50 years.

Glen Mason made some noise there in the late 80s and early 90s. Finished third in the Big 8 and won a bowl in '92, finishing 8-4.

Then in '95, he led Kansas to a 2nd place Big 8 finish (yes, ahead of OU) and a 10-2 record and Aloha Bowl win. Kansas finished the season ranked #9 in the nation and were ranked as high as 6th during the season.

It's too bad for KU, but it's just as bad for the Big 12.  The conference needs KU to be competitive.

I would rather have an 8 team conference, by dropping KU and ISU, then continue on with those embarrassments.
