the current coaching staff and their families. They are employees and many are about to lose their jobs. Sure, most won't have a hard time finding a nice landing spot and will probably be just fine. But I still want to encourage all to pray for them and their families during this transitional time. That is all.

Coaching is a high risk, high reward occupation. That being said, families will be affected and hope they are able to transition to another phase of their lives with minimum disruption and angst.

Well said.

Even with the down last few years, a lot of these guys have spilled blood for the program. We have had some great success with them and I'd rather thank them for the great efforts than torch them for the last few years.

Mack had a NC, and I firmly believe we would have beaten Bama had Colt not gotten hurt. Maybe stayed too long, but he brought winning and a clean program us back to national prominence.

We'll said and very true.

As much as I want change and know it is needed, I am also a little sad this morning. I still remember how excited I was the day we hired Mack, and he has been true to us ever since. Some things just passed him by though, as they will pass by all of us, and it's time to change.

I wish Mack and all the coaches and their families Godspeed.

I have no animosity for the people within Bellmont, I just think some of them failed to continue to upgrade their skill set and the business of college sports passed them by. Texas has the greatest financial resources of any program in the nation and we are excelling in exactly zero aspects of producing a quality sports entertainment product. I have been particularly harsh with my criticism of Nick Voinis, but he hasn't a clue how to manage media (and especially social media) in the current age. A lot of people who are going to be let go need to be replaced for the sake of the program. I wish them well, but I wish they would leave soon.

Agree.

But at the same time roughly 400 admins in Belmont for roughly 500 scholarship athletes is a bit over the top.
