Regardless of your feelings about Charlie Strong, the win over Oklahoma today should serve as a reminder why it's still very premature to think about discussing replacing him at Texas.

Oklahoma was the first Top-10 team (and only the second Top-25 ranked team) Strong has beaten in his year and a half at Texas.

I'll stop there.

you should. Those facts don't mean shit. Or shouldn't as it relates to CS's job security.

The teams Texas have lost to are now 22-1 on the year. ND barely lost to Clemson on the road with a billion injuries. Just crazy.
I said in another thread that this was a signature win for Charlie. For sure the best win he has here.

As far as the record of the teams they have lost to, I did read on another site that the teams that have beat Texas have not exactly played a stellar schedule. Don't know if it is correct or not but I think I read that none of the wins were against ranked teams.

It was ridiculous to call for his head after 16 games and it is after 19 games is the point.  It's not enough time to gauge his efficacy.  Period.
BS.....After we lost 6 out of our last 7 games or so and got destroyed by a TCU team who almost lost to KSU his head should be on the chopping block. One win over probably an overrated OU team doesn't erase all that crap.

Another thing..... about our recruiting....He better also rethink his QB recruiting.... I don't see a Heard type QB on our list....Are we changing our offensive identity yet again after Heard leaves ???? If we are going to stay with the spread and rely on a fleet footed, take it 60, type of QB; we better go after someone besides the Westlake kid or the kid we have coming in this year. Nothing against them. They look like quality West Coast pocket QBs, and can run a little, but their feet aren't scaring anybody in D1 football. That threat is what makes our offense GO. You put that type of kid in our offense yesterday and we lose by three touchdowns.

The unsportsman like flag on our first TD ......

Those idiot cowboys need to keep their butts away from the field if they don't have enough sense to keep their hands off the players......Johnson did nothing wrong HE didn't touch anyone and was just being excited. He didn't do anything to draw a flag. HE did not touch a fan etc ( which would draw a flag ). The idiot Cowboy reached out and made contact. That 15 yard penalty could have been huge in a game.....That organization needs to reprimand that kid.
