The win today and Charlie Strong

BS.....After we lost 6 out of our last 7 games or so and got destroyed by a TCU team who almost lost to KSU his head should be on the chopping block. One win over probably an overrated OU team doesn't erase all that crap.

Another thing..... about our recruiting....He better also rethink his QB recruiting.... I don't see a Heard type QB on our list....Are we changing our offensive identity yet again after Heard leaves ???? If we are going to stay with the spread and rely on a fleet footed, take it 60, type of QB; we better go after someone besides the Westlake kid or the kid we have coming in this year. Nothing against them. They look like quality West Coast pocket QBs, and can run a little, but their feet aren't scaring anybody in D1 football. That threat is what makes our offense GO. You put that type of kid in our offense yesterday and we lose by three touchdowns.
My guess is you've never seen either of the guys play if you think they are west coast QB's.

I have seen them on video. They aren't Heard / Boykin / ... style QBs who will make this offense go. I am sure they will be quality QBs, but we better find an OL that can block and WRs who can get open quickly for them to be successful. That is all I'm saying. Our offensive style will have to change once again.
I'm sure our recruits are smart enough to know by now who and what you are GBT, and that they'll pay about as much attention to what you say as we do.

UTfish, that commentary was well worth the double post. Solid work.

You can run spread with both Buechele and Ehlinger. Both operate out of it right now. The difference is their overwhelming tool is the arm over the legs. Jerrod is the other way around. Both guys can make plays with their feet but they won't carry a game that way. They can still operate the same offense, the dynamics change a bit.

PS: GBT, I was trying to quote your post and accidentally deleted it. It wasn't for anything bad just hit the wrong button on my phone
