That said, I think his relationship with both Mack and DD has biased his decision making abilities in regards to the future of the football program and the athletic department. Couple that with...Serious question...if Powers wants a Stanford-type athletics program from what I've read, shouldn't he have some concern with a Saban program (grayshirts, medical redshirts, oversigning...)? Is a President somewhat the face of the program, or is it the AD only? It just seems he should have some vision...perhaps I'm wrong and this is totally delegated to the AD.
Powers' stock sure has dropped...we've gone from applauding him for butting heads with Perry and resisting a diploma factory to handing him a box of colors.
