Some thoughts on the day:
- Rafiti Ghirmai is good as advertised. Chalk it up to home field advantage. Dude is high on Texas for sure, but the race is nowhere near over.
- I didn't see why Atanza Vongor got the Opening invite. I know I wasn't the only one.
- best DBs there were Caden Stern, Isaiah Humphries, and a huge tie for 3rd
- Roschon Johnson is good as advertised
- Trey Stratford had a hard day. Don't think it's indicative of him though.
- Chasen Hines did well. I wasn't awestruck but I can see the appeal. He needs to lose a few Lunda and replace them with some good weight.
- Alston Orji did well on one-on-ones but suffered in coverage.
- Byron Hobbs was here and there in coverage. Sometime played well. Other times let WR slip behind him. Did well on one on ones
- Deshaun White picked up a TCU offer yesterday and put actions behind it today. Played very well including a few picks. He played as a LB.
- As many of you know Overshown was a no shown ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)
- Jaquayln Crawford is faaaaaast! Dude is electric in real life as his film. And he loves Texas. Told me A&M kind of blew their chances. He's very high on Texas.
- People were telling me Keaontay Ingram had a bad day at 1-on-1's. I didn't see them so I can't say. But he did well just about everywhere else. The Opening isn't good for RBs anyway.
- The talent out there was good. It was more spread out than Houston, but there weren't anywhere near as many elite of the elite players.
- Lloyd Carr Jr had a few great reps and a few reps that were not so good ðŸ˜
- Ron Tatum on the other hand had an insane day. Dude was the real deal.
- I don't think Texas has any chance with Josh Proctor. That man is either OU or tOSU bound. He also nearly took a guy's head off. Too bad there aren't any pads b/c that would have been a hit for SCTop10.
- Arjei Henderson was okay. Wasn't overly impressed.
- Same for Kameron Brown ^
There were a lot of guys under the radar or guys who are young guns:
- Trejan Bridges 2019 WR Hebron. Dude balled out. That's my boy. He was the best WR out there besides Mike's Battle. He'll be getting big time offers by the end of the week. Count it.
- Caden Leggett out of Georgetown. Watch his tape. It translated better to field. Texas should take a look at this hometown guy.
- Tyreck James out of China Springs. Best TE out there.
- Danny Gray was maybe the best WR out there today from 2018. He's already got some big time offers, but he's about to blow up.
- Jace McClellan may be the best RB in 2020. Future 4 or 5 star. Hop on this train early.
- Brodrick Calhoun from Mesquite Horn is so fast it's insane.
- Dax Hill a DB from Oklahoma did well. He's also fast and big. Dudes 6' 180 and ran a 4.46 40, has a 37.5" vertical, and a shuttle of 4.14. Insane. He has OU and Ok State offers and is a 2019 kid.
