All the other sites are now saying 7-5 saves Strong.. Just a few weeks ago it was 8-5. Just wait until the next loss and and it will be 6 & 6... Sounds like Governor Abbot along with Dan Patrick are pushing for Strong to return... Texas fans SHOULD NEVER MAKE FUN OF AGGY EVER AGAIN. WE ARE VANDERBILT.. This is who we're... Congrats to those who love The University of Charlie Strong..

Strong has completed 33 games at Texas. He is 7-1 against the likes of

Rice
UTEP

North Texas
Iowa State
Kansas

8-17 against everyone else

The kicker:

Of his 15 wins only FIVE are against teams with a winning record

2014

WVU 7-6
OSU 7-6

2015

OU 11-2
Baylor 10-3

We did beat Kstate but they finished 6-7 after a bowl loss

2016

Baylor 6-1

Tomorrow is a pivotal game as it pertains to his coaching future at Texas.  A win will almost assure the team a bowl berth (assuming they beat Kansas in two weeks), and if Texas can squeak a win out against WVU or TCU, then things look good for Strong's return.

No way he stays at 6-6. But at 7-5, it's possible because everyone has known that the goal was 8 wins for him to return this year. If he's at 7, firing him before the bowl game and his potential 8th win would be bad. Especially with all of the Tom Herman chatter going on. I am a fan of Coach Strong but I'm a fan of the school first. I haven't seen anything that makes me prefer Herman over Strong yet though. So if he wins 7 and a bowl win, I'm fine with another year. I just ask, if he does come back next year and this team wins 10 games and is in playoff contention. Will you change your mind on him or us being Vandy?

I'm thinking the "powers that be" don't actually have a bar for this year. No matter what, their goal is to get Charlie to next year because they really think that's when we will really begin to see actual progress and improvement.

With all the talk about the bar, or the goal posts, being moved I checked with my most inside source who happens to work on the grounds crew at DKR stadium. And he assures me that the goal posts have not been moved all year.

Okay, I have to admit I read that on another site but you have to admit it's kinda of funny.

This talk about records baffles me.  Who cares about the record at this point?  The only aspect of Charlies team that has improved is the offense.

Thank you Gilbert, Foreman and Shane.

If anything the defense has been absolute shit the last 2 years and was awesome his first year with the so called shit talent Mack Brown left him.  I am beginning to wonder if that so called shit talent Mack left him on defense was actually coached.

We went from being a "soft" defense to a "joke" defense that believes giving up 600-700 yards is a decent job.

I am not sure what is more embarrassing the performance of this team on the field or the alums with glorious expectations of 7-5 season.  WTF is that!

BTW please dont spout off we beat 2 top 10 teams.  If you really believe ND and Baylor are top 10 teams then you are absolute nuts.

So, MBHornsfan, I assume you believe we are the new cockroaches that Royal once spoke of?
