We need rain in the worst way down here in Central TX.
It's gotten a bit better in the last month, but we're nowhere where we need to be yet before the brunt of summer comes on. Rest of April and May and half of June are still out there. Hopefully, we see some relief.

I'm busy as hell with work and now I have a problem only a seasoned landscape professional can handle. Can a Tamukeyama take full sunlight if planted in Zone 8 (Dallas) or does it need to be partial (morning) sun only?

No to full sunlight if it's all day sun. Yes, if there's something larger nearby protecting it against the late afternoon sun. I have one on the west side of my house, but it's protected by a much larger red oak nearby.

SirHornsalot,

What vine do you recommend for a backyard fence to attract hummingbirds?

Thanks in advance!

There are lots of options for that purpose. What kind of sunlight are we talking? Where are you located?

Clematis is in full bloom right now and is an awesome bloomer.

I think you're the same guy that emailed me earlier today. If not, then Sprinkler Patrol in Liberty Hill. Ask for Rusty or Nora and tell them Mark sent ya.

I just had to share this. I'm still trying to let it sink in.

We installed flowers today for a client here in the DFW Metroplex. Her spring installation runs about $16K in flowers alone. It takes us two days to get it all done with a four-man crew. It's an amazing transformation.

Anyway, the day ends and she approaches my wife and asks how she should tip the guys. Dawn says just write me a check and I'll split it up for them. So the customer wrote a check and gave it to Dawn - for $1,000.

Now, that's a tip.

Does the client have a daughter?
